I was caught up in this book by the end of the first page! Like Brandon Sanders or Robert Jordan Ted Fauster captivates our imagination as he creates another fantastical world with villains and hero's. He is definitely on my reading list as he releases more books. Imaginative but suffers from the shortcomings of multi-volume fantasy novels: A lot of good world-building, but by the end of the first book all we have is the pieces all set on the board for the action to commence in the subsequent books. The many fans of "The Wheel of Time" indicates that is not a fatal flaw, but I personally had... Ted Fausters Deomans of Faerel is a smart piece of fantasy that succeeds in immersing the reader into an original story that pleases on many levels. From the world-building to the characters to the plot to the quality of writing, Fausters book keeps us constantly entertained and turning pages. I love the unique take on each of the characters....
