Was surprised that this wasn't "typical" Danielle Steel - not all about lifestyles of the rich and famous! Touched on a very sensitive topic, but done well. Big surprises near the end really created a tear-jerker for me! 6 out of 10. This is the best Danielle Steel novel I think I've ever read. Yes, it's true that her writing is simplistic and many of the sentences are not structured as well as they should be. But there's a reason she's so popular, and part of it has to do with the fact that readers can bank on what her stories are about: she's Ol' Faithful, steady... Enjoyed this Danielle Steel book. It was a little different than what I expected. But like the others there is a love story.
