The girls go out into the forest and play in the fairy house with a set of twin boys from town. Later on as time goes by we find out somre details... Throughly enjoyed this story; Saskia's ability to intertwine the different time periods of the characters lives was brilliantly executed. I felt like I was standing on the outside watching the characters evolve. My only regret was that the ending was left open for our own interpretation, I wanted to be able to witness Viola & John's... A truly amazing beautifully crafted and totally engrossing novel. One of the best I have read in a long time.having been brought up in Suffolk close to where this novel is based it brought back many happy memories of days spent on shingle beaches.
