3.5 stars to Brandon Mull's latest book that will be out September 2013! This book reminded me a lot of the Golden Compass series with the kids and the animal connection but Brandon did make it his own. Also I think that elementary aged kids are going to love it! This book is about four kids in the land of Erdas who drink a ceremonial... Book 1 of 3 I've read and its a great young teens book. Its also a great read out loud (ROL) book. I can't help but role play my voice into different characters. One of the characters I enjoyed using the ess-slure accent of Sean Connery, but deeper and bolder. But I imagine a Paul Bunyan kind of big guy, and instead of an Babe the blue... I am a fan of brandon mull. His writing is simple and enjoyable. It was same here. This is a childrens fantasy novel. Nothing more nothing less.
