William de Worde jest przypadkowym wydawcą pierwszej gazety na Dysku. Musi sobie radzić z tradycyjnymi problemami dziennikarskiego życia - ludźmi, którzy chcą, by zginął, wampirem na odwyku, żywiącym samobójczą fascynację fotografowaniem z lampą błyskową, innymi ludźmi, którzy też chcą, by zginął, choć w inny sposób, oraz, co najgorsze, człowiekiem, który błaga go, by publikował zdjęcia jego ziemniaków o zabawnych kształtach.

More About Prawda
The Truth Shall Make Ye Fret. [Fred. Free.] Terry Pratchett, The Truth Only Ron's dog was watching William. He considered that it had, for a dog, a very offensive and knowing look.A couple of months ago someaone had tried to hand William the old story about there being a dog in the city that could talk. (...) The dog in front of William didn't look as if it could talk, but it DID look as if it would swear. Terry Pratchett, The Truth But too much reading had taken its toll. William found that he now thought of prayer as a sophisticated way of pleading with thunderstorms. Terry Pratchett, The Truth
The one in which Sir Terry foresaw the age of lying and calling it the (post-)truth and challenged the media to call fascist, racist scumbags on their hypocrisy, removing their power in the process. Well he got one part right, now it's your turn media and "news" outlets. Terry Pratchett takes us through the murky politics of Ankh-Morpork with his particular brand of humor and witticism. Trolls, vampires, dwarfs, humans, imps, golems, gargoyles, werewolves come together in a story about politics, justice, society and the truth. The old Ankh-Morporkian favorites are back, Mister Vimes, Lord Vetinari,... I admit it! I am a Terry Pratchett fan. I have bought all of his books. They make me laugh out loud and I find myself re-reading them. What more can I say? =)
