Sadako hoće živjeti
A Childrens, Classics, Academic book. Hiroshima, WWII

More About Sadako hoće živjeti
I admire the story told by the Austrian writer Karl Bruckner. Vividly he pictures the situation in Japan at the end of World War II and the preparations by the American army to force Japan to surrender by dropping the first atom bomb in the town of Hiroshima. The two principal characters survive the blast that followed the detonation... I first read this book about 50 years ago, when I checked it out from the book mobile. It's a fictionalized account of a young Japanese girl who is living in Hiroshima in 1945 when the atomic bomb is exploded. She survives the explosion and the subsequent problems of living in the destroyed city and then, 10 years later, falls victim... Hiroshima, WWII
